Reading Notes: Interesting Ideas

The Foolish Timid Rabbit

The story is entertaining for the audience in my opinion, it reminded me of the movie "Chicken Little", when he would always yell "The Sky Is Falling!". This story made me think about a few things, one being, as humans we sometimes tend to follow false tellings or believe things that are not true and run with it. Just like the animals were doing with the rabbit. I think it would have been a great idea to change the ending as well. Possibly, to do something like shaking up the King Lion when they returned to the rabbits sleeping place or maybe having the Earth actually break apart.

Two Turtle Jatakas

In my opinion, these two stories are five star stories. The ending of both stories were great! I liked how the Author manipulated to king and his sons to thinking it was worse for the Turtle to be in the water. The ending of The Turtle and The Geese caught me by surprised but it was a lesson learned. The geese asked him to keep his mouth shut and because he didn't he died. I can see myself doing something like this, it is like a plot twist with the character but two different stories.

I am using this Giphy because I think this represents the turtle when King wanted to throw him into the Lake, where he didn't mind being.

Unruly Monks

I am not a big fan of the story, but I do like the double story telling. It was creative to change what the character embodied in each story. The story was not as interesting as the others. However, I do like the idea of relating the stories to things that human race have commonly heard.
